Andie has lost almost everything and her guardian want’s to send her away to her aunt because of her bad behavior. For Andie to stay and continue dancing with her crew she has to go to the Maryland School of the Arts. Even though it is hard for her to adapt, which also leads to her being kicked out of the dance crew, she meets new friends and starts a dance crew of her own.
I really like to dance and I really like movies so one might say that this fits me perfectly. This movie has a mix of everything from romance to comedy. Well we have heard the story a million times before but I still love it. All the dance movies are very similar which I think can be a bit monotonous and uninteresting after a while. I do wish there would be a dance movie that wasn’t a typical romantic movie with a predictable storyline. Hmm, who am I kidding, I love those movies!
Robert Hoffman does a truly good job as a rich boy as well as Briana Evigan does an amazing job as a street girl. They are talented dancers as well (but one should probably expect that since it is a dance movie). I love how Adam G. Sevani pops up in the Step Up movies, he is a funny character and a really excellent dancer.
I do not have much more to say than if you like romantic or dance movies this is the bomb.com! The dance moves are well done and it really looks like they are professional dancers. Some dance movies can be a bit unrealistic when the crew is the best in the country and the dance is not really that impressing.
