Release Date: December 1991star-trek-vi-the-undiscovered-country

Time: 1h 53min

My Rating: 5,5/10 egcpdz

The Praxis (a moon around Klingon) explodes and now the Klingons and the Federation has to make peace. However, the klingons chancellor becomes murdered and both Kirk and McCoy are accused of the murder. As the new captain of the Enterprise, Spock has to find out who murdered the chancellor in order to save Kirk and McCoy.

Nah… This was not my cup of tea. Never should I ever trust the IMDb’s ratings because it always feels like their ratings are deceptive. I really feel like this was Sherlock Holmes or something similar. The big question: Who were the killers? Then it followed up by some clues and false accusations. Then the bright one (Spock) managed to solve the case and they all lived happily ever after, kind of… Okay, we have to throw in some space stuff, captain Kirk, aliens and the Enterprise in order to sprinkle some Star Trek over the story.

I just thought the whole story was messy and rather uninteresting, and a bit tedious. It really was something different from the other Star Trek movies, which might have been good but they did not nail the story. My eyes drifted elsewhere too often and that is certainly not a good sign.
