Buster Moon loves the theater and wants to start a singing competition so that he can keep his theater alive. Plenty of different animals with different backgrounds and families comes to audition so they can win 100,000 dollars, which is two zeroes more than Moon had anticipated. Now Moon has to come up with a way to get the money, meanwhile each contestant has to find a way to balance their own lives with this singing contest.
This was a very satisfying movie to watch. When the trailer first came out I thought it looked like a really fun movie and it turned out to be just that. It was a pretty good amount of main characters which made Sing very eventful and interesting. I really enjoyed most of the characters as well, basically everyone except the mouse Mike. The gorilla Johnny was of course my favorite because it was Taron Egerton’s voice and I do love him. It was actually really fun to hear him sing, he was incredible, and it was fun that he stepped out of his comfort zone because that is also a little what the movie was about.
I do really feel like this movie was interesting from the start to the end. The singing and the songs are very good, the characters are very likable and the animation is fantastic. I think Sing suits all ages as well, you can enjoy it just as much if you are 5 or 89, because it’s a fun movie. Maybe we have seen similar things before, and a singing competition is rather common, but it makes one happy and that is just really valuable. I think it also shows us that we should all follow our dreams and not let fear or family stop us. Make that dream of yours come true, no matter what!
