Doctor Who S10E07 Review

pyramid_end_of_worldMay 2017   Ι   Season 10   Ι   Episode 7   Ι   Daniel Nettheim

A 5,000-year-old pyramid suddenly appears in Turmezistan between the American, Russian, and Chinese forces. The Doctor, who is during crises the president of earth, is trying to solve the mystery and defeat the Monks. The only question is, will he be able to do it in time?

Can you believe that we’re already on episode 7?!? Time really do fly, just ask the Doctor. This episode was quite interesting and it feels very weird to say it but I have actually no feelings towards this episode. I didn’t like it but I didn’t hate it. It was just okay. The episode was not very eventful and they seemed to be running low on ideas because a lot of the stuff they were showing was not important. Maybe I was expecting too much. I just miss the whole Cybermen shooting everywhere and the Doctor and his companion is running away, trying to outwit them.

One thing that I really fancied about this episode was the Doctor. It felt like the 12th Doctor was on fire. I just really liked him in this episode. It was a bit of a shame that Bill wasn’t in it that much, but it’s okay because it makes me appreciate her more when it’s her scenes. I am having a bit of a hard time with the Monks however, I don’t fully understand them yet. It’s going to be interesting to see the next episode since it’s the last one with them I believe, and just see their whole purpose with the story. So not the best episode of season 10 but it worked.
